Fireplace Brick Tiles

This renovation of a classical Victorian style cottage required materials that complimented this old structure, whilst providing a suitable background for introducing modern interior elements. Continuing the textured Brick into the new renovation was a key ingredient of the design.

Using fireplace Brick Tiles for internal applications is a clean and quick method for creating authentic clay Brick facades on domestic or commercial sites. This project in Melbourne features the highly textured, hand made, Las Losas Santiago brick, in a  240 mm x 40 mm profile.

The fireplace facade has a unique personality and creates a striking relationship with the smooth earthy surfaces in the new living space. Our soft grey blend, gently adapts to the changing mood of the room, reflecting natural sun light off the sealed surface, to provide genuine warmth.

These convenient clay Brick Tiles were installed by the contracting crew commissioned to install the new tiles on this site and comply with appropriate Australian standards, in fact their natural characteristics are identical to robust, contemporary clay bricks.

Accessories such as Corners, ensure the facade appears to be a genuine Brick structure, whilst the 15mm thickness enables a variety of mortar styles to be created ... after the adhesive has been allowed to take hold to create a permanent bond with the substrate.

This method of creating genuine Brick facades is an economical and efficient alternative to conventional brick laying. There are adhesives, sealers & mortars for all applications to enable Brick Tiles to be specified in many locations; inside or out.

So if building hand laid brick walls with normal Bricks is not suited to your site conditions, a Brick Tile solution will provide the answers you need and we have the range of options you need to satisfy almost any design application.

We are grateful to Carole Whiting Interiors for the interior design and to the Larkin Building Group for the construction.
